The Selangor K.O.M 2026 is one of Malaysia’s most exhilarating hill-climb cycling events, sending riders on a gruelling 40km route from Dataran Warisan, Kuala Kubu Bharu all the way up to the cool highlands of Fraser’s Hill. With a total elevation gain of 1,200m and a dedicated King of the Mountain (KOM) stage spanning 7km from Gap Junction to the Fraser’s Hill Gantry, this race will test your legs, lungs, and willpower on one of the most scenic climbs in Peninsular Malaysia.

The event welcomes cyclists across three bike categories — Road Bike, Mountain Bike (MTB), and Folding Bike — with multiple age-group divisions to ensure fair and competitive racing for everyone from juniors to senior masters. The Road Bike Elite category is open to state, national, and professional cyclists who have participated in UCI-sanctioned events from 2023 to 2026. MTB riders must use XC/Trail tyres with a minimum width of 1.9 inches, while folding bike participants may use any tyre size and rim. Three water stations are positioned along the route at Dam Viewpoint (8.5km), Semangkuk Falls (24km), and Gap Junction (32km) to keep riders hydrated throughout the climb.

All registered participants receive a comprehensive entitlements package including a bike plate, helmet sticker, timing chip, e-certificate, official event shirt, finisher medal, PA & PL group insurance, water stations, and post-race refreshments. Top 5 finishers in each category receive trophies, while the Top 3 in Road Bike Elite, Road Bike Age Group, and MTB categories are eligible for cash prizes. A lucky draw adds even more excitement for all participants.

Race packs can be collected at TBFS Cycle (Lapierre Malaysia) in Petaling Jaya on 4 September or at Dataran Warisan, Kuala Kubu Bharu on 12 September. The race flags off on the morning of Sunday, 13 September 2026, with the prize presentation ceremony held at Fraser’s Hill. Register now at checkpointspot.asia and conquer the mountain!
