Selangor K.O.M 2026

The Selangor K.O.M 2026 is one of Malaysia’s most exhilarating hill-climb cycling events, pitting riders against 40km of challenging terrain from the historic town of Kuala Kubu Bharu all the way up to the cool highlands of Fraser’s Hill. With a total elevation gain of 1,200m, this is the ultimate test of climbing legs and mental grit, a true King of the Mountain (K.O.M) challenge for Malaysian cyclists.

The race caters to a wide range of abilities and bike types. Road Bike categories include Men’s Elite (for state, national, and professional cyclists with UCI event experience from 2023–2026), as well as Men’s and Women’s age groups spanning Open (18–34), Junior Master (35–44), Master (45–54), and Senior Master (55+). Mountain Bike categories cover Men’s Open, Junior Master, Master, and Women’s Open, with all MTB participants required to use XC/Trail tyres of minimum 1.9 inches width. Folding Bike riders (any tyre size and rim allowed) also have their own Men’s and Women’s Open categories, making this event one of the most inclusive cycling events in Selangor.

The route features three water stations along the way, at Dam Viewpoint (8.5km), Semangkuk Waterfalls (24km), and Gap Junction (32km), before the dedicated K.O.M Stage kicks off at Gap Junction (32km) and climbs the final 7km to the Fraser’s Hill Gantry finish line. Road closures will be in effect along the KKB–Gap–Raub corridor and the Gap–Fraser’s Hill ascent route throughout the morning to ensure rider safety.

All participants receive a comprehensive entitlements package including a bike plate, helmet sticker, timing chip, e-certificate, official event shirt, finisher medal, PA & PL group insurance, water station support, post-race refreshments, and a shot at the Lucky Draw. Top 5 finishers in every category receive trophies, while the Top 3 in Road Bike Elite, Road Bike Age Group, and Mountain Bike categories take home cash prizes.
