Tanjong Malim YDP Cup Mountain Bike International Challenge 2026

The Tanjong Malim YDP Cup Mountain Bike International Challenge 2026 is a UCI Class 2 sanctioned event taking place on 12-13 December 2026 in Tanjong Malim, Perak, Malaysia. Organised by Majlis Daerah Tanjong Malim in collaboration with UPSI (Sultan Idris Education University) and Macacia Sdn Bhd, this two-day event brings together elite and junior riders from Malaysia and abroad under the banner Ride. Compete. Inspire.

The event features four categories. The Cross Country Olympic (XCO) is a UCI Class 2 race held on a technical ~3.5km circuit at the UPSI campus, open to Men’s/Women’s Elite (age 19+) and Men’s/Women’s Junior (age 17-18). The Cross Country Eliminator (XCE) is a fast-paced ~1.1km knockout-format race through Tanjong Malim Town, open to Men’s/Women’s Elite (age 17+). The evening Criterium Urban Circuit Race on Saturday night offers Men’s Open, Women’s Open, and Corporate Challenge categories. The Jamboree is a fun MTB ride open to Men’s Open, Women’s Open, and Men’s Master categories.

All participants receive an event T-shirt and race number. XCO and XCE riders also enjoy a lunch box and sponsor goodies, while Criterium and Jamboree participants receive an e-certificate. Jamboree finishers take home a finisher medal as a memento of the ride. Race pack collection for XCO & XCE is on 10 December 2026 (9am-11am), and for Criterium & Jamboree on 12 December 2026 (9am-3pm), both at Arena Sports City, UPSI.

Racing is under UCI regulations (Part 4: Mountain Bike Races). Overseas participants must register by 15 November 2026, while local participants have until 22 November 2026. Lodging packages including accommodation, meals and shuttle services are available at USD 100 per person per day; contact the organiser to arrange one.
